With the current fast-paced coronavirus pandemic, T. Allen Funeral Service has sadly had to change the way that we arrange and conduct funerals. This is to ensure that we are correctly following all Government guidelines – allowing us to protect our staff, clients, and other members of the public.

Even though our doors are closed, we are still open and wanting to continue to support people who are facing even more sadness and difficulty at this time. At T Allen, we’ve been at the heart of this community for many years and are absolutely still here for you in this time of need. We are committed to ensuring that people still have access to a funeral which respects their wishes, no matter what’s going on in the world.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that there are some funeral service options that we are unable to offer at this present time. To help keep contact to an absolute minimum, we are currently not allowing: chapel visits, dressing the deceased in their own clothing, the option of travelling in a following limousine, or the choice of a coffin type – the Copperfield coffin will be the only option available at this time.

We would like to assure you that we are dedicated to providing you with the funeral support you need, and that these temporary measures have been brought in to protect everyone involved in the service and limit any potential spread of the infection.

Getting in touch with us

With the vastly moving coronavirus pandemic, we need to avoid the possibility of spreading infection – along with avoiding cross-contamination. Our office staff are all now either working from home, or, if they are in branches, are not allowed to grant entry to members of the public.

If you do need any advice or information during this time, then please telephone the usual office number and a member of staff will be happy to answer as best we can. However, please keep in mind that some options are continuously changing, due to the global situation, so we will keep you updated as much as we can.

We would like to apologise for the unnecessary distress this is causing, and wish to reassure our customers of our commitment and unwavering support. We hope to be back to normal, working with you all, as soon as we can.
